Abstract
This report is a description of a design for a computerized control system to aid in the administration of the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (M.G.L. Ch. 30,ss. 61 and 62 as amended). It includes all flow diagrams and needed forms including a model environmental assessment form and manual. The last section of the report contains an analysis of one year's activity under MEPA broken down by actions taken, agency activities, activity financing, physical activity and project types, and geographic distribution. The summary contains recommendations for long range systems development both in terms of better implementation of MEPA and in terms of coordinated and comprehensive environmental planning and management.
