Abstract |
To initiate a process for members of the interested public to provide their views to the agencies and to gather additional information on risk assessment principles, the Working Group sponsored an intergovernmental public meeting. The objectives of the meeting were to provide a forum through which the federal government could inform the general public about the Working Group's activities with regard to risk assessment and obtain advice from the public about directions for future work. The meeting consisted of presentations by Ad Hoc Working Group members and other representatives of federal agencies, as well as opportunities for members of the public to comment and ask questions. The report summarizes both the Working Group presentations and the oral and written public comments. |
