Abstract | EPA has prepared reports on various wastes that are associated with the exploration, development, and production of crude oil or natural gas that are exempt from regulation as hazardous wastes under Subtitle C of RCRA. Initially, EPA has focused on evaluating three groups of associated wastes: crude oil tank bottoms and oil debris, dehydration and sweetening wastes, and completion and workover wastes. The purpose of these papers is to provide a better understanding of the wastes and their management. This report addresses tank bottoms and oily debris. |
