Abstract | The report describes a waste minimization assessment of EPA's Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center (AWBERC) as part of the Waste Reduction Evaluation at Federal Sites (WREAFS) program. This effort identified waste sources, evaluated ongoing waste minimization efforts, identified alternative options and strategies for waste minimization, and developed a plan for implementation. Major issues included a chemical inventory system, recycling for paper, aluminum and glass, incineration, organization of the pollution prevention program, and incentives to encourage pollution prevention at AWBERC. |
