Abstract |
Due to the rising costs of waste disposal and the limited amount of landfill space, the importance of recycling and resource recovery is growing every day. This document examines the process of resource recovery and how it fits into an integrated waste management program. The integrated program includes waste reduction, reuse and recycling, resource recovery and landfilling. This document also presents some questions and answers common to resource recovery.
