Abstract |
This Sub-Project on Recommended Procedures for Hazardous Waste Management is focused on implementation topics or issues that arise from consideration of the options for an integrated hazardous waste management program by a country. These topics tend to group themselves around (1) the identification of hazardous wastes and (2) the authorization for operation of hazardous waste facilities. Although definitive conclusions in each sub-topic are often not apparent, comparisons and contrasts between the concepts used by participating countries can provide useful insights for others interested in alternative approaches to these concepts. |
