Abstract |
Report presents a literature survey of the health and ecological effects associated with various air quality levels of noncriteria pollutants that are regulated under the Clean Air Act. These noncriteria pollutants include mercury, beryllium, asbestos, sulfuric acid mist, vinyl chloride, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide, carbon disulfide and carbonyl sulfide. Nationwide emissions are estimated for each noncriteria pollutant with particular emphasis on contributions from fossil fuel combustion at stationary sources. Factors for quantifying emissions from fossil fuel combustion processes are discussed for each noncriteria pollutant. |
