Abstract | Small quantities of DDT and DDE have been found in the body fat of humans. DDT has had wide use on food and forage crops and for control of insect-borne diseases. DDT and DDE were found in all meals analyzed, but in small quantities, and are not considered a toxicological health hazard. In the case of foods intended for human consumption, the DDE content as well as the DDT content should be determined. |
