Abstract | The book describes the CITY and RIVER BASIN MODELS in detail. These are computer-based models which were built for research and training purposes to give a holistic view of the workings of a hypothetical regional system and its water sub-systems and to allow the users to interact in a dynamic decision-making environment. The book also reports the findings of academicians in various disciplines who tested the concept of a general social science lab by using the models to teach their existent courses. The tests took place at Dartmouth, American University, Georgtown University, Mankato State, and Memphis State. |
