Abstract | Actions to be considered are the approvals of permits for the proposed Red Dog Mine Project in northwestern Alaska. A transportation corridor would be constructed from the mine to a port site on the Chukchi Sea. Impacts of the proposed project are described as they relate to vegetation and wetlands, wildlife, water quality, fishery resources, physical and chemical oceanography, air quality, visual resources, cultural resources, subsistence, socioeconomics, recreation, cost and Cape Krusenstern National Monument. |
