Abstract | A program on particulate air pollution from stationary sources in the continental United States was conducted. The specific objective of the study was to identify, characterize, and, to the extent possible, quantify the particulate air pollution problem. Information was to be assembled and analyzed on the kind and magnitude of specific sources, and the status of current control practices. The resultant information was to be used to identify deficiencies in current knowledge regarding the nature of important particulate pollution sources, and to provide requisite handbook data for the design and application of control devices. The results of the study are presented. (Author) |
