Abstract | The study area comprises the main stem of the Lower Mississippi River from St. Francisville, LA, near the Mississippi-Louisiana state line, downstream to Venice, LA. The general objective of the study is to determine water quality degradation in the Lower Mississippi River Basin through the identification of hazardous industrial wastewaters which endanger human health and the health of the aquatic biota and cause off-flavors in food fish and drinking water supplies. |
