Abstract |
The report covers the development of a matrix of significant pollution problems and attendant process modifications which would have impact on the reduction or elimination of pollutants inherent in these processes. Industries covered are: (1) Refining of Nonferrous Metals; (2) The Electroplating Industry; (3) Coal Conversion Processes; (4) Specialty Chemicals; (5) The Paper & Pulp Industry; (6) Iron and Steel Industry; (7) The Primary Aluminum Industry; and (8) Phosphate Fertilizer Industry. The matrix for each of the industries noted covers the individual process; the pollutants and their sources in the process; the nature of the pollutant and the control strategy for mitigation or reduction of the pollutant. |
