Abstract | A survey plan intended to increase the statistical validity of future Cost of Clean Air reports is presented. Eleven industrial sources are included in the sampling plan. These are: asphalt batching, brick and tile, coal cleaning, grain milling (animal feed only) and handling, lime, petroleum refining, petroleum storage, rubber (tires), secondary nonferrous, sulfuric acid, and varnish. Survey instruments are presented in Appendix I. Sampling design recommendations are presented for national, state and metropolitan area surveys. Recommendations for mail and follow-up procedures are also discussed. Finally, estimation techniques are presented. (Author) |
