Abstract | Various technical investigations have demonstrated that direct and indirect discharges of municipal and industrial wastes to Las Vegas Wash, an interstate tributary of the Colorado River, from sources in Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, are causing pollution of Lake Mead and the Lower Colorado River which is deleterious to the health or welfare of persons living in Arizona, California and Nevada. This pollution also causes violations of Federal-State water quality standards. The report summarizes the technical information documenting the interstate pollution and recommends remedial abatement actions. |
