Abstract |
Selected wastewater treatment processes were evaluated in bench-scale tests using contaminated groundwaters and leachates from four hazardous waste problem sites. The processes investigated were selected on the basis of an extensive literature review and desktop analysis of 18 candidate processes. The preceeding work is described in a report entitled 'Concentration Technologies for Hazardous Aqueous Waste Treatment' (EPA 600/2-81-019). The processes reported here include adsorption, biological treatment, coagulation and precipitation, filtration, ozonation, sedimentation, and stripping. The processes were used singly and in various process train configurations. |
