Abstract |
This report provides the details of an evaluation of the distribution and biological impacts of particulate materials in combined sewer and storm drain discharges in the Seattle, Washington region, and presents the extent of the urban runoff problem in terms of statistics and observed and anticipated impacts on water quality in Lake Washington and Puget Sound. The potential public health risk related to enteric viruses associated with such particulates is also addressed. |
