Abstract | In this final environmental impact statement, the Environmental Protection Agency's position on wastewater treatment for Post Falls, Idaho is presented. Joint treatment with Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, was considered, but high interceptor costs were predicted and this idea was dropped. Construction of a central wastewater treatment system for Post Falls will remove a potential threat to the water quality of the Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. The aquifer has been designated by the EPA as a sole source drinking water aquifer. |
