Abstract |
The prevention of outbreaks of paralytic shellfish poisoning has been a problem of mutual concern to health and fishery agencies in Canada and the United States for many years. The objectives of the conference reported in these proceedings were: Evaluate progress made since 1955 in development of a standard bioassay procedure; review the maximum concentration of poison which should be permitted in market shellfish and consider development of a program to allow utilization of Alaskan clam resources. |
