Abstract | Tintinnids exhibit a bimodal peak of abundance in Narragansett Bay, with a minimum in late spring and a lesser peak in late summer-early autumn, depending on location. Thirty-three species in eight genera were identified, with the fauna dominated by the genus Tintinnopsis. Tintinnid abundance was not obviously correlated with salinity, temperature, or nanoplankton chlorophyll concentration. |
