Abstract | The report includes data developed over several years on the concentrations and loadings of nutrients and sediments in Lake Erie tributaries. These data illustrate several characteristics of nutrient and pesticide transport in river systems. In particular, the paper describes the patterns of concentration change during runoff events, the variability in material transport from storm to storm and year to year, the seasonal aspects of concentrations and loadings, and the effects of watershed size on pollutant concentrations and loadings. |
