Abstract |
The Arcata, California waste water treatment program is a successful example of the effective use of constructed wetlands in urban wastewater treatment. The wetlands system, completed in 1986, demonstrates the natural ability of marsh plants, soils, and their associated microorganisms to meet the need for a cost-effective and environmentally sound wastewater treatment. |
