Abstract |
This is the 8th in a series of in-depth scientific literature searches which review the safety and efficacy of substitute chemicals registered by EPA as possible replacements for cancelled or suspended pesticides or pesticides in litigation. The reviews are part of the Substitute Chemical Program, initiated under PL 93-135 (Oct. '73). This report on Monuron, a registered substitute herbicide for certain cancelled and suspended uses of 2,4,5-T, covers all uses of Monuron and is intended to be adaptable to future needs. The data contained in this report was not intended to be complete in all areas. Data searches ended in April, 1975. The review was coordinated by a team of EPA scientists in the Criteria and Evaluation Division of the Office of Pesticide Programs. Draft copies of the report have been reviewed by the scientific staffs of EPA's National Environmental Research Centers and their associated laboratories. E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., a manufacturer of monuron, reviewed the draft of this report and made certain comments and additions. |
