Abstract
The report is comprised of a collection of 11 papers dealing with the closely related topics of (a) concentrations of nitrates occurring in subsurface agricultural waste waters, (b) the source of nitrates, and (c) possible methods for controlling or removing them. The work all deals with subsurface agricultural waste waters of the San Joaquin Valley in California, but much of the information may have general application. (WRSIC abstract)
