Abstract |
The 208 Macroinvertebrate Study Report: The Effects of Acid Mine Drainage on Mean Species Diversity in Six Southern Illinois Streams is Appendix C-4 of the Areawide Waste Treatment and Water Quality Management Plan for Southern Illinois. The report was prepared under Section 208 of the Water Pollution Control Act, as amended. It addresses the effect of acid-mine drainage from both deep shaft and strip mine operations in Southern Illinois upon macroinvertebrates. Included are descriptions of field sampling and laboratory methodology as well as findings and conclusions. |
