| Abstract |
Based on information collected during a site visit to Water Ink Technology in 1986, this report describes a number of washwater reduction and management options which were developed by the Pollution Prevention Pays Program. It covers housekeeping procedures which can be used to significantly reduce waste generation, treatment methods for the washwater, techniques to reuse the treated water, and treated washwater disposal options. It concludes that in order to effectively manage the waste generated during ink formulation, a comprehensive waste management program must be implemented. |
