Abstract |
Based on a study to assess the application and utility of sheltering and evacuation as specific protective measures in the event of accidental releases of gaseous radioactive material from nuclear power plants, this report is the first of two that deal specifically with the effectiveness of public shelter structures. The second report evaluates both sheltering and evacuation protection measures from the standpoint of providing technical guidance in formulating emergency planning procedures. |
