The relative infrared reflectances of aqueous solutions of K2SO4, NH4H2PO4, and (NH2)2CO were measured for radiant flux incident at about 70C. Distilled water was the reflectance standard. The absolute reflectances of the aqueous solutions were computed by using the relative reflectances, one of the Fresnel equations, and the optical constants of water. The optical constants of the solutions were computed by applying a Kramers-Kronig analysis to the absolute reflectances spectra. The relative reflectances, absolute reflectances and optical constants are presented in graphical and tabular form; spectra signatures characteristic of the solute are discussed. (Author)
