Abstract
Three proprietary biological phosphorus removal processes are reviewed. The paper presents the description and development status of these technologies. The paper is a summary of the emerging technology assessment report published by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1984. The processes reviewed are: The Phostrip process marketed by Biospherics, Inc.; Anaerobic/Oxic process marketed by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.; and Bardenpho process marketed by Envirotech Corporation.
