The amendment to the Best Demonstrated and Available Technology (BDAT) Background Document for F001-F005 Spent Solvents presents the new data received by EPA and provides EPA's rationale for revising the treatment standard for methylene chloride in F001-F005 wastewaters from the pharmaceuticals manufacturing industry. Section 1.0 provides EPA's legal authority for revision of the treatment standard.
