Abstract |
This report reviews the numerous solidification techniques and related matrix materials that are presently being offered or proposed for incorporating the radionuclides into an immobile materials. Both high- and low-level waste solidification processes are covered. Key features of the equipment used in individual solidification processes are described. At present the high-level waste solidification methods are being developed by the Government, while the low-level waste solidification methods are being developed commercially. |
