Abstract |
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to propose new air pollution emission Guidelines for approximately 200 municipal waste combustors (MWCs) in late 1989. The regulations will significantly affect the cost of owning and operating these MWC plants. Affected plants include both currently operating plants and those plants under construction when regulations are proposed in the Federal Register. The report uses three economic scenarios to examine the economic impact of the five regulatory alternatives under most active consideration by EPA. |
