Abstract |
Mercury screening measurements made in July 1995 had indicated that the landfill gas entering the GSF Gas Recovery plant at the Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island, NY may have elevated levels of mercury. Follow-up measurements of mercury (and other metals) were made in July 1996. The results of the July 1996 measurements indicate that much lower mercury levels are measured when a more refined and accurate test method is used. |
