Abstract

The interim report presents general information on the use of aeration to remove volatile organic compounds from drinking water for public health reasons. The report illustrates the types of aerators, shows where they are being used, presents a means of estimating aeration performance, identifies the problems and secondary effects of aeration, and estimates the cost of this technology.
