Abstract |
The coal mining industry in Illinois is presently subject to effluent limitations as described in Chapter 4 of the Illinois Water Pollution Regulations. Such parameters as iron, pH, lead, zinc, fluoride, suspended solids, nitrogen, and acid are specifically limited in mining effluents. The report specifically examines the economic impact resulting from either maintaining the existing regulation or adopting an alternative level of regulation for total dissolved solids. |
