Abstract |
Increases in population, an expected three percent annual per capita solid waste generation factor, and more stringent air and water pollution regulations could rapidly shift solid waste management toward efficiently operated municipal incinerators. Another increasingly evident economic consideration is one of urban land use. The Little incinerator inventory identified most, if not all, of the municipal systems now operating or under construction in the United States. |
