Abstract |
The report is the sixth in the series of Clean Water Reports to Congress. The scope of the 1973 report is broader than previous reports because the EPA recognizes that consideration of the cost of controlling pollution from municipal and industrial sources is not sufficient information upon which to evaluate a national program. It primarily focuses on the economic factors that will influence implementation of the 1972 amendments but also deals with the nature of the water quality problem, costs of controlling significant sources of pollution, potential benefits, and administrative factors. |
