| Abstract |
The document presents the findings of a study to evaluate salvage markets for commodities entering the solid waste stream. Emphasis was placed on paper, ferrous metals, nonferrous metals, glass, textiles, rubber, and plastics, however other materials are also discussed. The overall secondary industry is described along with general costs for recovery. Case studies of salvage operations for 14 areas in the U.S. are also reported. |
