This mission will be accomplished by: Complying with State and Federal statutes; Establishing credibility and trust by implementing decisions based upon sound science and ethical professional judgement; Identifying sites which pose unacceptable risks to human health and the environment through comprehensive environmental investigations; Implementing sound environmental remedies which mitigate unacceptable risks to human health and the environment at these sites; Fostering healthy relationships and mutual respect among stakeholders; and Considering the local values and the environmental perspectives of the citizens of Illinois.
