Abstract |
Five years of mixing height and wind speed data have been analyzed to determine the episodes of slowest dilution lasting 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 days at each of 62 weather stations. Dates and meteorological data are given for each episode, the stations are ranked by their values on a slowest dilution parameter, the monthly variation of episodes is summarized, and maps are presented showing isopleths of slowest dilution values. This information should be of interest to those involved in modeling and appraising atmospheric transport and diffusion during episodes of extremely slow dilution. (Author) |
