| Abstract |
Section 1 provides an overview and summary of State and federal mandates which estaliblish the legal basis and need for surface water monitoring programs. Section II provides a brief overview of existing IEPA surface water monitoring projects and activities; additional information on current surface water monitoring projects and activities is provided in Appendix A. Section III addresses the monitoring program elements listed in the October USEPA final 106 grant guidance (USEPA 1994) and provides the strategy and workplan for meeting the monitoring needs of the Agency and its partners. |
