Abstract Dover AFB identified soil and groundwater contamination related to the activities that occurred in and around the WP14/LF15 site. The findings from the soil sampling conducted during the remedial investigation (RI) (Draft Final RI Basewide Remedial Investigation, August 1995) showed the presence of chlorinated solvents, fuel-related VOCs, and semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) contaminants in soil, but their levels were generally below action levels and do not indicate a significant soil problem at this site. The selected remedy consists of in situ remediation of groundwater using natural attenuation, institutional controls consisting of continuation of the restrictions on using on-Base groundwater and performance of groundwater monitoring.
