Abstract

Chlorofluorocarbon 113 (1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2,-trifluoroethane) has little potential to cause direct adverse health effects at levels found or expected in the general environment (<4.2 ppb). Experimental data do not indicate adverse health effects in humans at a TLV of 1,000 ppm. At exposure levels greatly exceeding 1,000 ppm, impairment of neurological and cognitive functions(humans) and detrimental cardiovascular effects (animals) have been observed.
