Abstract The purpose of the fact sheet is to define the major components of the health and safety program and to delineate the health and safety roles and responsibilities for Remedial Project Managers (RPMs), lead parties/agencies, and contractors during the remedial action phase of Superfund cleanups. It addresses the various roles of all parties in the overall health and safety program for a site, with emphasis on Occupational Safety and Health Act/Agency (OSHA) compliance.
