Abstract |
The decision document presents the selected remedial action for the Organic Contamination in the Vadose Zone (OCVZ) site located at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL). The selected remedy for OCVZ will provide extraction/destruction of organic contaminant vapors present in the vadose zone beneath and within the immediate vicinity of the RWMC. In addition, the selected remedy will include monitoring of vadose zone vapor and the SRPA. The objective of the selected remedy will be to reduce the risks to human health and the environment associated with the organic contaminants present in the vadose zone and to prevent Federal and state safe drinking water standards from being exceeded in the future. |
