Abstract | Pumping of septage creates the necessity to dispose of this highly offensive sludge in a safe, cost-effective and convenient manner. Many technological alternatives exist for the proper management of septage. This report provides an introduction and comparative discussion of major septage treatment and disposal alternatives. Following this general description is a cost effective comparison of the alternatives available to the town of Woodrock. Finally a more detailed description of one cost effective solution, including capital and operation and maintenance cost estimates, is presented. |
