Abstract | Methods are discussed for measuring wind, water, and temperature, and recording the information in digital form at some given location remote from conventional 110 volt power source. Measurements of wind direction, wind miles, water level, rain fall, temperature, and the happening of miscellaneous events can all be recorded on standard 8-hole paper tape. The system is operable for several months, unattended. The data are recorded at precise predetermined intervals. Dry cell batteries supply the necessary power to operate the system. (Author) |
