Abstract | This fact sheet summarizes the information in the RED document for reregistration case 0063, alachlor. Alachlor is a herbicide used for weed control on corn, soybeans, sorghum, peanuts, and beans. There are liquids dry flowable, microencapsulated, and granular formulations. The timing of applications is preplant, pre-emergent, at plant for corn and soybeans, post-transplant, post-emergent, and at ground crack for peanuts only. Alachlor is applied by ground, aerial, and chemigation equipment. It can also be mixed with dry bulk fertilizer. |
