Abstract |
This report includes information relating to oxidation ditch plant plant equipment, design and application, operational problems and advantages, operation and maintenance requirements, construction costs, and nitrification and nitrogen removal applications. Much of the information is based on visits to and analysis of data from actual operating installations. In addition, the oxidation ditch plant characteristics are compared to those of competing biological treatment processes. Nitrification and nitrogen removal capabilities of the oxidation ditch process are also compared to various biological and physical-chemical processes. |
