Abstract |
EPA focused upon two fundamental elements of the Executive Order: (1) the Executive Order directive that Federal agencies must comply with all provisions of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and Pollution Prevention Act and implementing regulations; and (2) the Executive Order mandate for Federal government leadership both in the prevention of pollution at Federal facilities and in providing information to the public concerning the manufacture, process, use and release or transfer of toxic chemicals and pollutants at Federal facilities. Based on these factors, this document provides explanations of current EPCRA and PPA requirements and practices and offers suggestions to support Federal government leadership initiatives. |
